2026 GSC ANNUAL LATE SUMMER PICNIC:

Cookout and Geology of Devil's Hopyard State Park

Registration is now open for our annual late summer (or, in this year's case, early fall) picnic! The event will take place at the picnic pavilion (see map below) and environs of Devil's Hopyard State Park and will include post-picnic discussion of the local geology.

We look forward to seeing you there, rain or shine!

WHERE: Devil's Hopyard State Park, 366 Hopyard Road, East Haddam, Connecticut

WHEN: Noon–3 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026

COST: $15 for GSC members, guests of GSC members, and non-members; $10 for students. The fee for the picnic covers the cost of food and soft drinks.

Registration deadline: Noon on Thursday, September 24, 2026

TO FIND THE PICNIC PAVILION: After entering the park, continue on the road as it bends to the north and ends in a loop with parking. The picnic pavilion is just to the west of the loop.
